Matt’s Coats for Kids is gearing up for its annual collection drive and free distribution, which will be held a bit earlier this year. The organization was established in 2004 in honor of Matthew J. Fitton who lost his life in a car accident at the age of 20. Over the years, Matt’s Coats for Kids has helped distribute thousands of coats to children in need.
Donations of new and gently used coats will be collected in Matt’s memory between October 16 and November 16 at various locations throughout the area. New mittens, gloves, and hats will also be collected in memory of Giana Bartolucci, and new socks in memory of Everett and Eleanor Bauch. A list of the 2021 drop-sites will be available at https://www.facebook.com/MattsCoatsForKids after October 15. Financial donations are also appreciated.
