Jeannine Pelusio will be displaying a variety of watercolors and acrylics at her solo exhibit at Hart Gallery27, 27 Market Street, Brockport. The works will be on display during the month of November, with an opening reception on Friday, November 5 from 6 to 9 p.m.
The exhibit is entitled “emergence,” a reference to what Pelusio describes as, “About becoming, coming out of something. The show represents my work over the past eight years. I’ve always wanted to create, and painting is the opportunity to bring my feelings to the surface.”
Pelusio says she is inspired 100 percent by nature. “I love to paint anything I feel I can portray as an environment in itself. It fills my soul to create. I have to express myself. It has to come out somewhere, and what works for me is channeling it through my paintings.”
Pelusio is owner of Stony Point Studio in Ogden, where she has been teaching drawing and painting classes for the past 15 years to children and adults, as well as teaching classes for homeschoolers.
In the coming months, Pelusio will be expanding her instruction, offering classes and workshops out of her studio space at Hart Gallery27.
