The New York State Department of Transportation is advising motorists that the Gillett Road Bridge over the Erie Canal in the Town of Ogden, Monroe County, will be closed to traffic beginning at 7:30 a.m. on Monday, November 15.. The closure is necessary to facilitate bridge repairs and is expected to last at least one week.
Motorists are urged to take alternate routes. All work is weather dependent and subject to schedule changes.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
