The Phantom of the Opera comes to OFC
OFC Creations Theatre Center will present Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera from November 19 to 21.
The musical tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. He falls madly in love with an innocent young soprano, Christine, and devotes himself to creating a new star by nurturing her talents and employing all of the devious methods at his command.
The production features 40 high school students from schools across Rochester, under the direction of Eric Vaughn Johnson.
Performances will be held at the OFC Creations Theatre Center, 3450 Winton Place, Rochester, on Friday, November 19 at 7 p.m.; Saturday, November 20 at 2 p.m.; Saturday, November 20 at 6 p.m.; and Sunday, November 21 at 2 p.m.
