Living Fields of Honor – A picture is worth 1,000 words and bulbs

In 2018, the Harvey C. Noone Legion Family established two Living Fields of Honor for local veterans. One site was at the Legion Post, and the other was along the Westshore Rail Trail in Churchville.

This fall, with the help of volunteers from age three to age 82, consisting of Legion Family members, community members, and Cub Scout Pack 156, the total number of bulbs planted exceeds 1,000. And, the goal of creating a living display of daffodils stretching the length of the Westshore Rail Trail has been achieved.

Plans are underway for a spring 2022 event, as the daffodils are blooming and sending their message of renewal, hope, and tribute to our Hometown Heroes; something to look forward to as winter sets in.
