Pippin at OFC Creations Theatre Center
OFC Creations Theatre Center is presenting Stephen Schwartz’s Pippin from January 7 through 9, 2022.
Heir to the Frankish throne, the young prince Pippin is in search of the secret to true happiness and fulfillment. He seeks it in the glories of the battlefield, the temptations of the flesh and the intrigues of political power (after disposing of his father, King Charlemagne the Great). In the end, though, Pippin finds that happiness lies not in extraordinary endeavors, but rather in the unextraordinary moments that happen every day.
With a score from four-time Grammy winner, three-time Oscar winner, and musical theatre giant, Stephen Schwartz, Pippin is the story of one young man’s journey to be extraordinary. The musical won four 2013 Tony Awards, including Best Musical Revival.
The production features OFC’s high school students, and is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Performances at the OFC Creations Theatre Center, 3450 Winton Place, Rochester, are Friday, January 7, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, January 8, at 2 p.m.; Saturday, January 8, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, January 9, at 2 p.m.
Tickets are $15 by reserved seating and are available for purchase at www.ofccreations.com or by phone at 667-0954.
