Hilton Lions Club adds braille books to Parma Public Library
The Hilton Lions Club made a big impact locally when they were able to purchase 28 large print and braille books for the Parma Public Library through a Lions state grant from the MD 20 SEE (Screening Eyes Early) program. January is Braille Literacy Month so the timing could not be better. The books are all for youth and will be available through the inter-library lending program for any readers who want them. Library Director Amy Hogue said it is important for children to develop a reading habit at a young age and how very useful the new materials will be for many children. Hilton Lions Club President Brad Helmer is shown in the library with the new books.
