Genesee Transportation Council to Hold Planning Committee Meeting

The Genesee Transportation Council (GTC), the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for the Genesee-Finger Lakes Region, will conduct one of its regularly scheduled Planning Committee meetings on Thursday, February 10, at 10:00 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Livingston County Highway Department located at 4389 Gypsy Lane in Groveland. The meeting will also be livestreamed via telephone or computer.
Observers may attend in person or will have the opportunity to watch and participate via a dedicated webpage: www.publicinput.com/GTCPlanningCommittee. On this webpage, observers will be able to listen to and view a live feed of the meeting. They may also call in to listen to the audio with a dedicated, toll-free phone number 855-925-2801 Meeting code: 8148. Observers will have the opportunity to submit questions and comments via chat, email, text, recorded voice message or live call in during the Public Forum portion of the meeting.

The Planning Committee provides professional and technical direction to the GTC Board. It is comprised of transportation and planning technical professionals, appointed by GTC Board members. Following input from various other committees, the Planning Committee reviews and recommends action on activities and work products to the GTC Board for final approval.
Each Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. Individuals may offer comments on meeting agenda items at the beginning and the end of the meeting. The Committee will consider comments before acting or making recommendations to the GTC Board.

The United States Department of Transportation requires every metropolitan area with a population over 50,000 to have a designated MPO to qualify for receipt of federal highway and transit funds.
