Brockport launches new citizen engagement mobile app
Brockport is launching My Brockport Village, a new mobile citizen engagement application powered by GOGov. This application puts the power of village hall in the palm in your hand.
The app will be a source of information with links to the village website, news, and ongoing events. It will also be a method for residents to subscribe to emergency alerts and community notifications as they pertain to various aspects of village life.
Mayor Blackman stated, “We anticipate this will be an excellent way to get information out during our Main Street Bridge closure, scheduled for 18 months beginning in September 2022. It will also be invaluable for sharing alerts such as water breaks, road closures, and public safety information expediently.”
To download the free app, go to the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and search “My Brockport Village” to find the app. Those who don’t use a smart phone or who would rather sign up for an email notification system, can go to www.brockportny.org to sign up.
