OFC Creations presents Oliver!
OFC Creations Theatre Center, 3450 Winton Place, Rochester, presents Oliver!, Charles Dickens’ tale of a poor orphan and his associates scrambling to survive in Old London Towne. In-person performances run May 13 through 22.
Oliver, a runaway orphan, finds acceptance amongst a group of petty thieves and pickpockets led by the clever Fagin. When Oliver is captured for a theft that he did not commit, Fagin employs the sinister Bill Sikes and the sympathetic Nancy to kidnap him back, threatening Oliver’s chances of discovering the true love of a family.
Oliver! is full of timeless tunes, including, “Consider Yourself,” “I’d Do Anything,” “Food Glorious Food,” “Who Will Buy,” “As Long As He Needs Me,” and many more. A Tony and Olivier Award-winning show, Oliver! is one of the few musicals to win an Academy Award for Best Picture. As told through the lens of director, Eric Vaughn Johnson, a cast of professional adult actors brings this classic story to life for theatergoers of all ages.
Performances of Oliver! will be held at 7:30 p.m. on May 13, 14, 20 and 21, and at 2 p.m. on May 15 and 22. Tickets are $30 to $45 per guest ($15 to $20 for children under 12) and are available at OFCCreations.com/tickets or by calling 667-0954.
