Luminaries will light up Pineway Ponds Park in Spencerport on Saturday, May 21, in memory of those lost by family members and friends. The event begins at 7 p.m. with light refreshments and the opportunity to learn more about Aurora House. The luminaries will be placed around the pond and lit at dusk; visitors are invited to stroll the walkway.
The Lights of Remembrance event is presented by Aurora House Comfort Care Home to the community as a way to honor those who have impacted our lives. The act of lighting candles reminds us of the light brought into our lives by those who are no longer with us. A family member of a deceased resident at Aurora House shared, “This ambiance created by the glowing luminaries is ethereal. I felt my husband’s presence here so strongly. Thank you for the chance to experience this special night.”
