Sweden to host annual rabies clinic on August 13

The Town of Sweden’s annual rabies clinic for dogs and cats will be held on Saturday, August 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sweden/Clarkson Community Center, 4927 Lake Road. Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling the Town Clerk’s office at 637-2144.
The free rabies clinic is a “drive-thru” event. Dogs must be leashed and strictly controlled; cats should be in sturdy carriers. Pets must be at least three months of age in order to receive a vaccination. Proof of a previous vaccination is required in order for the pet to receive a three-year rabies shot; otherwise a one-year initial rabies shot will be given at the clinic.
