Aurora House starts book club

Grief is unique for every person and every instance of loss. It can be lifelong, devastating, and isolating. Yet, with some support from others we can endure, heal and even find happiness again.

Aurora House is sponsoring a book club for the community where grief can be discussed comfortably and where one grieving can find some support. It is open to the public, and all are welcome.

The group will meet the third Wednesday of each month, starting July 20, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Aurora House, 2495 South Union Street, Spencerport. The first book is It’s OK That You’re Not OK: Meeting Grief and Loss in a Culture that Doesn’t Understand, by Megan Devine. The format of the book is a conversational, easy read – the nitty gritty is expected to be found in the group’s discussion. It is suggested that participants buy a copy of the book, but this is not required – all can benefit from the discussion.

RSVP for the July 20 session at https://forms.gle/6rLobMKpAs9t296D6.
