The Town of Sweden’s annual rabies clinic for dogs and cats will be held on Saturday, August 13 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Sweden/Clarkson Community Center, 4927 Lake Road. The venue was moved to this location in 2020. Appointments are necessary and may be made by calling the Town Clerk’s office at 637-2144.
For everyone’s safety, children should be kept away from other pets. Dogs must be leashed and strictly controlled. Cats should be in sturdy carriers. In order to receive a vaccination, pets must be at least three months of age. Proof of a previous vaccination is required in order for the pet to receive a three-year rabies shot; otherwise a one-year initial rabies shot will be given at the clinic.
