The Town of Sweden is receiving additional funding from the NYS Office of Community Renewal for its Senior Room Addition at the Sweden/Clarkson Community Center. Sweden was contacted early in July for the opportunity to apply for extra grant funding for already approved projects. Sweden’s original grant for the project was $500,000. The additional $24,440 in funding will pay for furnishings, audio-visual equipment and landscaping. Construction on the Senior Room addition will be complete in September. The Town will host an open house for the community later in the fall.
