RRH appoints Jennifer Eslinger President of Health Care Operations and COO
Rochester Regional Health has appointed nationally recognized health care executive Jennifer Eslinger as its new President of Health Care Operations and Chief Operating Officer (COO). She joins the organization September 12, 2022. Eslinger has been in the industry for more than 25 years, and has vast experience establishing, growing, and managing complex, efficient hospital and health system operations. She has worked extensively in both for-profit and not-for-profit health care sectors.
Most recently, Eslinger served as President of Henry Ford Health’s Wyandotte and Downriver market in Wyandotte, Michigan, where she had financial, operational, and strategic responsibility for a 401-bed teaching hospital, off-campus free-standing Emergency Department, Ambulatory Surgery Center, Inpatient Behavioral Health Hospital, Inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Hospital, Long-Term Acute Care, and more than 20 ambulatory clinic sites. Strategic growth and operational initiatives implemented under Eslinger’s leadership led to the financial turnaround of the Downriver market in just a few short years.
While at Henry Ford, Eslinger also oversaw the Strategic Growth Oversight Team for the health system and launched multiple successful clinical programs, providing patients with greater access to best-in-class comprehensive care close to home.
As RRH President of Health Care Operations and COO, Jennifer will provide executive oversight for strategy implementation, system integration, care delivery transformation and regional growth.
“Jennifer is uniquely and exceptionally qualified for this new role, and we are thrilled to have her join our team. I had the opportunity to work with Jennifer at Henry Ford, and witnessed first-hand her remarkable talents and enthusiasm for modernizing the health care delivery model in innovative ways that yield consistently excellent results for patients, employees, and the area communities served,” said RRH CEO Richard “Chip” Davis, PhD.
Prior to joining Henry Ford Health, Eslinger served as the President of Mobile Infirmary in Mobile, Alabama, and spent more than 15 years in healthcare executive leadership roles within Tenet Health Care and Hospital Corporation of America (HCA).
A native of Georgia, Eslinger earned her undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
