The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra is bringing its Around the Town Concert Series to Churchville and Hilton this month. This series began in 1991 with the mission of providing wider access to live, orchestral music to diverse audiences who may not attend concerts at the Eastman Theatre. These concerts have not only enabled concertgoers to experience the joy of listening to symphonic music, but have also brought neighborhoods together.
The RPO performs Wednesday, October 26, at Churchville-Chili High School and Thursday, October 27, at Hilton High School auditorium. Both concerts being at 7:30 p.m. and are free and open to the public.
Hilton High School senior Luke Pisani, violinist, will be performing with the RPO for both concerts. In March, Luke participated in the Young Artist Auditions, an annual competition sponsored by the Rochester Philharmonic League, and won the Grand Prize – the opportunity to perform in concert with the RPO.
