The Ogden Highway Department is advising motorists of upcoming bridge work in Ogden based on information they have received from the New York State Department of Transportation.
NYSDOT will be down-posting the bridge carrying Trimmer Road over the Erie Canal in the Town of Ogden to seven tons. The posting was anticipated to begin Tuesday, January 17. The posting comes following a recent NYSDOT inspection. Heavy vehicles should seek an alternate route.
NYSDOT will be conducting repairs to the bridge carrying Gillett Road over the Erie Canal in the Town of Ogden that are anticipated to begin Monday, January 23. To complete this work, the bridge will be closed to traffic for roughly eight weeks. This work comes following a recent NYSDOT inspection. Motorists should plan an alternate route during the closure.
