Greater Rochester Chamber hosts 2023 Women Empowering Women conference
Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and its Women’s Council affiliate held the 5th annual Women Empowering Women conference on Thursday, March 16, at the Hyatt Regency Rochester. The sold-out event brought together over 450 women from various industries to inspire and support one another in their personal and professional growth.
The conference featured keynote speakers, panels, and interactive workshops where speakers shared their insights and experiences on a range of topics, including sponsorship, mentorship, and allyship; giving and receiving feedback; career skills; setting boundaries; and effective networking. The speakers and attendees shared practical advice and strategies to help each other overcome challenges and achieve their goals.
“We are thrilled with the success of this year’s Women Empowering Women conference,” said Susan George, Director of Events, Affiliates, and Training for Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. “The conference provided a platform for women to connect, learn from one another, and gain valuable insights and strategies for personal and professional growth. We look forward to continuing to support women in our community and providing opportunities for their success.”
The event was sponsored by several local organizations, including DePaul, Ellis K Consulting, Nesco Resources, L3 Harris, the YMCA of Greater Rochester, Canandaigua National Bank & Trust, Rochester Community Baseball, Inc., Nazareth College of Rochester, Salena’s Mexican Restaurant, New York Kitchen, Starbridge, and The Arc of Monroe County.
The 6th annual Women Empowering Women conference is planned for Thursday, March 14, 2024.
