The Town of Ogden Parks and Recreation Department was recently presented with the Multimedia Award at the New York State Recreation and Parks Society (NYSRPS) Annual Conference in Monticello, NY. This award is presented to the agency that has most effectively created awareness and gained exposure through video/audio/electronic coverage including website, social media, special videos, etc.
Over the past few years, the Department has prioritized the improvement and enhancement of communication and promotion. These efforts included updates to the Department logos to provide a foundation and expanding to include updates to the seasonal Program Guides, Department website, and social media pages, bringing continuity among all communication elements.
The New York State Recreation & Park Society (NYSRPS) is the principal organization advancing the value of parks, recreation, and leisure services through professional development of its members and citizen engagement. The Society is comprised of over 600 New York State Recreation and Park professionals spanning from Long Island to Niagara Falls, Lake Placid to New York City.
