Car seats and booster seats provide protection for infants and children. Buckling children in age and size appropriate car seats, booster seats, and seat belts reduces serious injuries. The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office conducts Child Safety Seat Inspections. The vehicle, car seat, and child should be present for the fitting inspection. New and expecting parents are also welcomed and encouraged to schedule an appointment for car seat inspections.
