PHHS hosts presentation on Miracle on the Hudson

On January 15, 2009, US Airways Flight 1549 made an emergency landing on the Hudson River after encountering a flock of birds that damaged both engines. The safe landing of the plane, also known as the “Miracle on the Hudson,” was an incredible feat of leadership and teamwork in the face of a crisis. The event demonstrated the importance of having strong leaders and effective teamwork, not just in aviation but in any situation that requires quick decision-making and action under pressure.

The Parma Hilton Historical Society will host Dan Vinton, a Hilton native and survivor of Flight 1549, for a special presentation. He will share his experience with the community on Thursday, July 20, at 7 p.m. in the Ingham Room at the Hilton Community Center. The event is free, but registration is required at https://www.parmahiltonhistoricalsociety.com/events/.
