The Town of Sweden has scheduled a public hearing regarding an application to rezone 4740 Lake Road from single family residential to multi-family residential. The empty lot sits at the southeast corner of Lake Road and Crestview Drive. Proposals in the past to re-zone the property to commercial have been denied.
This spring, owner Sam Simone held a neighborhood meeting to share his vision of townhomes on the site. In late July, Simone filed the rezoning application with the Town Board, which scheduled a public hearing for Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. at the Sweden Town Hall, 18 State Street.
