The Charlotte-Genesee Lighthouse is closed for the season, but will hold a Christmas Two-Day Sale at the gift shop in the lighthouse museum, on December 2 and 3 from 1 to 4 p.m.
Featuring gifts for lighthouse enthusiasts, all in-store items will be 10% off, except Christmas wreaths. Guests who become members of the lighthouse society will receive 20% off their purchases (excluding wreaths). Discounts offered on in-store items only; no online purchases. Lighthouse-theme items including T-shirts, books, sweatshirts, cutting boards, pillows, mugs, tote bags and other keepsakes. In addition, several ceramic lighthouse models will be offered at 50% off. Order forms will be available for hard-to-find clothing sizes.
Fresh Christmas decorated wreaths will be available for $25 each (including tax); shoppers may reserve one by calling 585-621-6179.
The lighthouse stands at 70 Lighthouse Street, near Holy Cross Church, 4492 Lake Avenue, Rochester. Special Group Tours by appointment only, may be arranged by calling the Lighthouse at 585-621-6179 during the off-season, or by emailing info@geneseelighthouse.org. Weather conditions may not permit entrance to the tower.
The lighthouse reopens for its regular season Friday, May 3, 2024. The grounds are open for exterior photography year-round.
