Lifespan needs respite volunteers in Hilton and Brockport areas
Lifespan’s caregiver services support families caring for family members with Alzheimer’s disease and memory loss. Often, caregivers in these situations can use some free time to grocery shop, take a walk or meet a friend for lunch. Volunteers provide free time, also called respite, for caregivers. There is an ongoing need for respite volunteers in the Hilton and Brockport areas.
Lifespan will train volunteers, provide support and match them with a caregiver near them. Those who have a few hours a week are asked to call Lifespan at 585-244-8400, ext. 192 to learn more about becoming a respite volunteer.
Lifespan is a regional nonprofit organization providing information, guidance and services for older adults and caregivers. Visit http://lifespanrochester.org to learn more about the organization’s many flexible, fulfilling volunteer roles.
