Spencerport Fire District holding public information meeting on possible paid Fire Chief position

On Thursday, February 8, at 7 p.m., the Spencerport Fire District will hold a public hearing regarding the possibility of creating a paid Fire Chief position at the department.

According to Joe Muniz, SFD Commissioner, this hearing will take place at the start of the district’s regular monthly meeting. The hearing will open the meeting and will outline the plan, share where this request came from, as well as discuss the budgetary considerations. There will be a brief question and answer opportunity open to the public following the presentation.

“We hope to answer the main questions and concerns during the presentation but will also provide time to answer questions to the public before we move forward in the monthly meeting,” said Muniz.

The meeting will be held at Fire Station #1, 175 Lyell Avenue, Spencerport, and all are welcome to attend.
