St. George’s Church in Hilton will hold its annual collection day for the drop off of E-Scrap at the church. It will be held on March 23, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the church parking lot, rain or shine or snow. Help will be available to assist in the unloading and sorting of materials. This effort is once again being done in conjunction with Sunnking Electronics Recycling in Brockport. Sunnking will make a donation to Camp Good Days and Special Times based on the total weight of the recyclables collected. To date, Sunnking has donated $150,000 to Camp Good Days and Special Times.
As in the past, electronic goods and devices will be accepted. Any items that have refrigerant or gasoline powered engines, such as dehumidifiers, refrigerators or lawn mowers, can not be accepted. The church looks forward to providing this service to all in the community in an effort to properly dispose of electronics waste and keep it out of the general waste stream.
