Purple Pony seeks donations for Treasure Sale

Purple Pony Therapeutic Horsemanship with be having its biennial Treasure Sale, Saturday and Sunday, August 10 and 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 8321 Lake Street Road (Route 19), Leroy, this year sponsored by Batavia Downs Gaming and Hotel.

This event will be a large indoor sale with all proceeds benefiting Purple Pony Therapeutic Horsemanship.

Donations of items to sell will be accepted on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., from Tuesday, July 2, through Tuesday, August 6. Donations cannot be accepted before or after these dates.

Items that can be accepted include household goods, area rugs, collectibles, jewelry, sporting goods, books, infant care, lawn and garden, camping, small and medium furniture, tools, crafts, holiday items, linens, and artwork.

Items that cannot be accepted include large appliances, large exercise equipment, large upholstered furniture, hazardous liquids, computers, TVs, and VHS tapes.

Purple Pony Therapeutic Horsemanship is a 501c3 organization run entirely by volunteers. Founded in 2006, Purple Pony provides instruction in equine activities by Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship (PATH) certified instructors to individuals with a variety of disabilities or diverse needs.
