The Spencerport Depot and Canal Museum is offering several opportunities throughout the summer for children four to eight years old to enjoy a special story time program. The children will hear Erie Canal, trolley transportation, and museum history in easy-to-follow picture books. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Younger children are welcome if they are able to sit with their siblings.
Programs will last approximately one hour. Each story time will be limited to sixteen children and registration is required. The free story times will be held at 10 am. on July 30, August 6, and August 20. Call 352-0942 or stop in during regular hours to register.
The museum is open Tuesdays from 3 to 7 p.m.; Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers are always needed to help guests when they visit Spencerport.
