Genesee Valley Chapter of SPAAMFAA (Society for the Preservation and Appreciation of Motorized Fire Apparatus in America) is holding a Memorial Muster in memory of past chapter president Jim Kurycki on Saturday, August 17, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will begin with a parade of antique fire equipment from the Spencerport CSD campus down Lyell Avenue to Union Street and through the business district to the Muster site at the Spencerport Firemen’s Field, 75 Union Street (Rt. 259) at the Erie Canal.
The Muster features contests and judging with awards. There will also be children’s activities. Barton’s Parkside Hots (and more) will be on site for those who want to grab a bite.
