Hamlin Farm Fest returns August 24
Hamlin Recreation is holding its second Hamlin Farm Fest on August 24 as a celebration of the town’s rich agricultural heritage and the hardworking farmers who help sustain the community. It will be held from noon to 5 p.m. at the Hamlin Firemen’s Field. All are welcome for a day filled with fun, food, and festivities in honor of local farms.
This year’s Farm Fest will feature a tractor parade along Route 19 to kick off the event at the Fireman’s Field. The parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. from Tops. Those interested in participating in the parade are asked to complete the interest form at https://forms.gle/3f82hL4MX1hznMB27.
Support local farmers and artisans and discover the flavors of our area, as there will be a Farmers Market and vendors showcasing fresh produce and other goods.
There will be a variety of interactive activities and entertainment for the whole family. From tractor rides and petting zoos to pony rides and bounce houses, there’s no shortage of excitement for kids of all ages.
There will be a Mechanical Bull riding competition for participants to compete to see who can stay on the longest, with prizes awarded to the top times. Other contests include Chicken Suit Races, Frog Jumping Contest, Greased Watermelon Contest, Pie Baking and Pie Eating Contests, and a Biggest Sunflower Contest.
Enjoy live music and entertainment throughout the day featuring Another Vice.
While the event is free to attend, there will be some activities that will require the purchase of a cash only wristband.
