The Brockport Food Shelf held its annual volunteer appreciation picnic on September 18. The event was held at the Lodge in Sweden Town Park. Food and drink were provided by members of the Board.
Board President Jake Straub thanked the volunteers for their help in alleviating food insecurity in Brockport.
The Food Shelf is located in St. Luke’s Church, 14 State Street, Brockport. It serves residents of the Brockport School District south of Ridge Road. More than 200 families and individuals are served each month. It is open Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 2 to 6 p.m. For further information, call 637-8169.
