Tom Golisano to receive Lifetime Achievement Award

Greater Rochester Chamber will present B. Thomas Golisano with its Lifetime Achievement Award on Wednesday, November 6, as part of its 38th annual Top 100 Awards Celebration. This award is being presented in recognition of his unprecedented business success and philanthropic giving in Greater Rochester and around the country.

B. Thomas Golisano is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and civic leader who has demonstrated an ongoing dedication and commitment to building innovative businesses, supporting numerous non-profit organizations, and advocating for inclusive health and several civic issues. Mr. Golisano is the founder of Paychex, Inc. He has also invested in numerous other businesses and start-ups and established Golisano Institute for Business & Entrepreneurship in 2022. Additionally, Golisano has shaped the region through charitable giving of over $775 million, including his September 2024 donation of $360 million to help hospitals, educational institutions, and many other organizations.
