Riga Recreation Halloween Parade a big hit

The weather was spring-like as well over 100 Trick or Treaters assembled in Churchville Commons for our annual parade.

This large, enthusiastic, and well costumed crowd of “Tricksters” were lead through the streets of Churchville by the Churchville Fire Truck and the “Fairy Godmother” (Lion Verna) to the nicely decorated Churchville Village Gazebo where they were greeted by members of the Lions Club and the Union Congregational Church to receive “Goodie Bags” and apples. Local business gift certificates were given to uniquely costumed boys and girls.

Many thanks to the Riga Town Board, Village of Churchville, Churchville Lions Club LEO Club members (Ms. Wilkerson),Churchville FD and Fire Police, parents, grandparents, Addison for filling the “Goodie Bags”, Doug Eisele and Jamie Alayna for taking awesome pictures of the event and, of course, Fairy Godmother Verna for leading the way!
