The RMSC Council celebrates 52 years of Annual Holiday Bazaar Arts & Crafts Sale

The RMSC Council celebrates the return of its annual Holiday Bazaar Arts & Crafts Sale – one of the longest-running arts and crafts festivals in the Rochester region. The RMSC Council is a volunteer service organization that supports all three locations of the RMSC (The Museum & Science Center, the Strasenburgh Planetarium, and the Cumming Nature Center) through annual fundraising events. This sale, filled with works by more than 160 fine artists and craftspeople, will transform the RMSC Museum & Science Center and Eisenhart Auditorium into a holiday shopping wonderland Friday, November 22, through Sunday, November 24. Hours are 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

Juried exhibitors from the region will showcase creative, unique, hand-made items for purchase including: ceramics, fiber arts, glass, jewelry, mixed media, paintings, photography, prints, sculpture, woodwork, and much more. Exhibitors will travel from across New York and several neighboring states.

“This beloved event also allows vendors to reach new audiences while displaying their talents, and provides an opportunity for the RMSC to lift up the vibrant art community in our region,” shared Lyndsay Compitello, Vice President of Marketing & Guest Experience at the RMSC. “This holiday tradition is the perfect opportunity for our community to shop local for the holidays while participating in a unique Rochester event.”

Visitors can expect to find locally made gifts for the holidays while supporting both individual artists and their favorite non-profit, in a cozy holiday atmosphere. In addition to the sale, food and beverages will be available for purchase in the Cunningham House Studio.

The annual RMSC Council Holiday Bazaar was founded over 50 years ago as a modest Stocking Stuffer Sale. Today, the Holiday Bazaar attracts more than 5,000 shoppers, and is the RMSC Council’s most successful annual fundraising event.

Admission to the Holiday Bazaar is $6 per person, or you can purchase a $10 weekend pass for all three days –available for pre-purchase online or in person. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
