Winter Weekend in the Village coming to Brockport
The Village of Brockport, in conjunction with the Morgan Manning House and The Stetson Club are excited to announce a weekend-long celebration of the holidays in the Village of Brockport on December 6, 7 and 8.
This three-day event will begin on Friday, December 6, at noon. The Morgan Manning House has brought back its famous Candlelight Christmas Craft Sale. A $5 donation at the door gets you admission to the house, decorated for Christmas, and offers up a variety of artisan crafts to browse and shop. This event will continue until 8 p.m. on Friday and will be open again from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Friday night, the Hart Gallery will also host an opening of the RAC Salon des Refuses, as well as scenes from Brockport, from 5 to 8 p.m. The gallery will also be open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday for visits to the art and studios on site.
Saturday will be a day full of holiday hustle and bustle as 40 vendors, crafters, distilleries, and exhibitors line the streets and shops of downtown Brockport. Look for the blue star balloons to find extra vendors tucked inside your favorite Main Street shops. Be sure to visit the Custom House Craft & Cask Collective at 1 Main Street for an assortment of vendors, hot beverages for sale, and free s’mores kits. A campfire will be lit at the Welcome Center, 11 Water Street, where families can make s’mores and visit with Santa Claus from 12:15 to 4 p.m. Santa will parade down Main Street from The Strand at noon and will then depart from the Welcome Center at 4 p.m. to head to Sagawa Park for Christmas Carols and the lighting of the new Village “Tree” at 4:30 p.m. Nativity BVM Church will be hosting a cookie sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Toy collection will also be happening all day for the Brockport Toy Shelf at Custom House and Dunn’s Furniture. New, unwrapped toys can be left in collection boxes on site. Brockport will also host two holiday concerts on Saturday evening. The Robert Dean Chorale will perform at Brockport First Baptist, 124 Main Street, at 6:30 p.m. and The Brockport Symphony Orchestra will perform at Brockport Presbyterian, 35 State Street, at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, December 8, Brockport Kiwanis will host the 50th Annual Kiwanis Holiday Craft Show at the Sweden Clarkson Community Center, 4927 Lake Road South. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Kiwanis will also be hosting a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and selling grilled foods. The Morgan Manning House will open its doors on Sunday afternoon for photos with Santa Claus from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday evening marks the return of a Brockport favorite night of the year. The Stetson Club Holiday of Lights Parade Extravaganza will begin at 5 p.m. (running north this year due to the bridge closure) and will be followed by fireworks. St. Luke’s Episcopal Church will be offering free cookies and cocoa to the community during the parade.
There is something for everyone, every day, and the Village of Brockport will see you ON Main!
