In 2024, The Friends of Hamlin Beach State Park were awarded a NYS Park and Trail Partnership Grant. This PTNY grant allowed the FOHBSP to build their capacity and provide a means to aid in the outreach to the community. The grant funding supported the development of a new website, https://friendsofhbsp.org, to provide the public with information about all the wonderful contributions of the Friends to enhance the park and its programs.The grant, along with the donations from area businesses, helped FOHBSP build and start a very successful recycling program in the campground. The Friends also were able to support park programming for the centennial year, with tree and wildflower plantings, a sandcastle event, a concert and cornhole event, teddy bear picnic, and more.
