Explore Durand Eastman Park with free guided tours in April

The Monroe County Cooperative Extension, in partnership with Monroe County Parks, invites the public to explore the historic Durand Eastman Park Arboretum through a series of free guided tours this April. These informative and engaging tours will highlight the park’s rich history, dating back to its establishment in 1909, and showcase its diverse natural beauty.
Tours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. every Sunday in April. ASL interpreters will be available for the April 6 tour. Meet at the kiosk on Zoo Road (off Lakeshore), next to the park maintenance center. Pets are not permitted on the tours.
Led by knowledgeable Master Gardener Volunteers, the tours will take participants through moderate hills and wooded trails, providing an up-close look at the park’s unique landscapes and history. Participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the terrain.
Registration is required and can be completed at https://tinyurl.com/yc4sxw8a.
