Be part of Brockport canal history

Community members are invited to be a part of Brockport history and join in an aerial photo to commemorate the opening of the Brockport Loop Pedestrian Bridge. The village hopes to assemble more than 200 people for the photo as 2025 also marks the 200th anniversary of the Erie Canal
The Pedestrian Bridge Dedication and Boathouse Ribbon Cutting will be held Friday, June 13, 11 a.m., at Commissary Park, 308 Holley Street, Brockport. Those wishing to take part should plan to arrive on site by 10:30 a.m. and may come by foot, bike, kayak or canoe. Gather on the bridge (or in the canal) for the photo.

Those arriving by boat should plan to launch by 10 a.m. from the accessible kayak dock at the Brockport Welcome Center. It is a 0.9 mile paddle west to the pedestrian bridge.
Free parking is available at SUNY Brockport Lot D on Holley Street.
