Brockport announces 2025 Summer Serenades schedule

Get ready to celebrate. Brockport’s 2025 Summer Serenades series includes two special Erie Canal Bicentennial events.
The season begins with a special water-themed program by the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8. The concert takes place indoors in SUNY Brockport’s SERC on New Campus Drive. As with all of the Serenades performances, there is no charge and tickets are not required. There is plenty of parking available next to the building. Chair seating is available directly in front of the RPO and bleacher seating is also plentiful.
The second special Bicentennial event is the Flotsam River Circus. Their barge will tie up at Brockport’s Welcome Center on Thursday, August 7, as part of a major Erie Canal tour. Again, no tickets are required. Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets and arrive early, perhaps with a picnic, for this 6:30 p.m. event.
Except for the RPO, all of the other Summer Serenade events are on Thursday evenings at Brockport’s Welcome Center on the Erie Canal just off Main Street – at 7 p.m. in July and 6:30 p.m. in August.
Scheduled to perform are:
•Tuesday, July 8 – the RPO at the SUNY Brockport SERC
•Thursday, July 17 – The Swooners, featuring Mark Bader
•Thursday, July 24 – Midnight Cruisers
•Thursday, July 31 – 8 Days a Week – a Beatles tribute band
•Thursday, August 7 – Flotsam River Circus Barge
- Thursday, August 14 – Big Mike and the Motivators
•Thursday, August 21– Season finale, Rochester Metropolitan Jazz Orchestra. - The Serenades series is made possible with generous donations from local individuals and businesses. Donations are always welcome and greatly appreciated. Funding from the NYS Canal Corporation helps to make the two special evenings possible.
