Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern Spreading Warmth This Holiday Season

The Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern’s Holiday Program brings hope and joy to families across the region by ensuring that children and adults facing financial hardship can celebrate the season with dignity.

The Ministry of Concern is a long-standing 501(c)(3) nonprofit that provides emergency services, household essentials, and youth and family support to help individuals regain independence and become contributing members of their community.

Each year, the Holiday Program provides gifts, warm clothing, and essential household items to families who might otherwise go without. Families also receive food vouchers and donations of holiday meals so that no one is left out of this important tradition of nourishment and togetherness.

Supported by the generosity of local donors, volunteers, and community partners, the Holiday Program reaches hundreds of families in Genesee and Orleans Counties. Beyond meeting immediate needs, it creates a sense of inclusion and belonging by reminding families that they are cared for and supported during a time that can be especially challenging. By easing the stress of financial strain, the program helps parents focus on creating positive memories and strengthens the connections that hold the community together.

Sign-ups are being taken through December 1 at 29 East State Street, Albion. Call 585-589-9210 with questions.
