2026 Erie Canalway Calendar

Available December 1

The public is invited to pick up a free 2026 Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor calendar starting December 1, 2025, at selected libraries and visitor centers throughout the National Heritage Corridor. The calendar features winning images from this year’s Erie Canalway photo contest.

“Each year, the calendar serves as a reminder of what makes the NYS Canal System such an asset for New Yorkers. The nationally significant history, natural beauty, and endless recreational opportunities of the Canalway Corridor make it an exceptional place. We hope people pick up a calendar and feel inspired to preserve and enjoy this historic waterway,” said Bob Radliff, Executive Director of the Erie Canalway National Heritage Corridor.

Calendars will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, thanks to generous support from the NYS Canal Corporation, the National Park Service, M&T Bank, and Wegmans.

NYS Canal Corporation Director Brian U. Stratton said, “The 2026 Erie Canalway Calendar beautifully illustrates the beginning of the Erie Canal’s third century of operation: Community collaboration, recreation, arts, culture, and environmental stewardship. Each picture represents our present and future, and we encourage anyone who loves the Erie Canal to pick up a calendar at a participating location so that they can enjoy 12 different perspectives on this enduring waterway.”

Calendars will be available locally at Hoag Library in Albion, Seymour Library in Brockport, Chili Public Library, Newman Riga Library in Churchville, Gates Public Library, Greece Public Library, Hamlin Public Library, Community Free Library in Holley, and Ogden Farmers’ Library.
