•Scheg, Gina L., age 54, died June 22, 2013. She is survived by her life partner of 21 years, Tim Lahrs; children, Rachel Scheg of Colorado, Kevin Scheg of Caledonia; father, Gary Walker of Spencerport; mother, Marilyn Legg of North Carolina; sisters, Kim Sherry of Greece, Shawn Walker of Brighton; brother Todd (Angela) Walker of Webster; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins. Gina loved horses and all kinds of animals. Former employee of Bausch & Lomb in Rochester.
Funeral Services were held June 28 at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Albion. Interment, private.
CHILI
•Ames, Susan E. (Fisher), June 23, 2013 at age 55 after a four year battle with cancer. Predeceased by her father, Robert Fisher. Survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Michael; son, Zachary; her mother, Elizabeth Fisher; four brothers, Robert (Amy), Timothy (AnneMarie), William (Joanna) and Christopher (Sarah) Fisher; sister, Laurie (Jack) Trent.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated June 28 at Holy Ghost Church. Interment, Holy Ghost Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester, 840 University Avenue 14607 in her memory.
•Jones, Joan H., June 23, 2013, age 80. Predeceased by her father, John A. Hambly; mother, Margaret Hambly; sister, Patricia Anne Jordan and brother, Arthur E. Hambly. Survived by her son, Edward (Sheryl) Jones; daughter, Cindy (Todd) Esham; granddaughter, Megan K. Jones and grandson, Matthew E. Jones.
Funeral Services were held June 30 at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Chili. Private interment, Riverside Cemetery. Contributions can be made to Monroe Community Hospital Foundation in her memory.
•Meier, Charlotte, March 25, 2013 at age 85. Predeceased by her husband, Roderick C. Meier. Charlotte will be greatly missed by her loving family, Dr. Roderick S. (Barbara) of Great Falls, Montana, Jeffrey C. of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Elizabeth (Keith) Eng of Rochester; grandchildren, Carolyn Meier of Washoe Valley, Nevada and Nicholas Eng of Quincy, Massachusetts; several nieces, nephews and extended family. Charlotte was organist of the First Baptist Church in Chili from 1960-1980 and was a medical assistant with the Olsan Medical Group for many years.

CHURCHVILLE
•Garwood, Faith R., age 88, June 25, 2013. She was predeceased by her first husband, John A. Garwood Sr., in 1997 and her second husband, Robert Wolfanger Sr., in 2006. Faith is survived by her children, Sharon (Joe) Steinwachs, John (Frances) Garwood, Ron (Naomi) Garwood, Donna (Glenn) Keyes and Michael (Michele) Garwood; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
Her Life Celebration was held June 29 at the Dansville Free Methodist Church. Interment in Greenmount Cemetery, Dansville. Contributions can be made to the Dansville Free Methodist Church, 23 Franklin Street, Dansville, NY 14437 in her memory.
GATES
•Dobbertin, Catherine (Ehrmentraut), June 16, 2013. Born to William and Lucille (Derleth) Ehrmentraut on July 15, 1923. The youngest of five children, she lived on the family farm in Churchville. She attended a one room schoolhouse for elementary school and Churchville High School. Kay attended Rochester Business Institute and worked at Taylor Instruments until she married. She met the love of her life, Clem, at a barn dance. They wed on August 28, 1943. Kay and Clem were lifelong involved members of St. Theodore’s Church. She was a volunteer communion minister at Park Ridge Nursing Home for 22 years. Kay’s proudest accomplishment was raising her eleven children. Faith, family, and friends were her passion. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Clemens Albert, her son Chip (Clemens J.), her siblings: Mary Steimer, William James, Francis, Eugene Ehrmentraut and her parents. She is survived by her children, Barbara (John) Englert, Catherine (George) Wiedemer, David (Mary Lou), Mary Steele, Ann (Tim Scanlon), John (Kerry), Elizabeth (William) Larzelere, Joyce (Robert McCabe), James (Anne), Michael (Jacqueline); 28 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Also, her brother-in-law William Steimer.

•Bovenzi, Josephine “Josie” (Malta), June 23, 2013 at age 60. Predeceased by her parents, Charles A. and Marie Malta. Josie is survived by her adoring husband, Anthony Bovenzi; children, Rachael (Jason) Vergari, Geremy (Melissa) Bovenzi; grandchildren, Maddy, Collin, Allie, Caitlyn, Ethan; beloved sister Phyllis (Carl) Mannillo; sisters-in-law, Phyllis Bovenzi, Dolly Crandall; nieces and nephews, Anthony, Michelle and Carl Mannillo, Jason Bello, Aleshia (Michael) Stevenson, Logan (Karen) Watson, Richard, Dominick and Michael Watson, Tanya (John) Homer, Tyronne and Todd Hart; uncle and aunt, Peter and Angie Rubino; many special cousins.

•Simpson, David G. Sr., age 84, died June 23, 2013. He was predeceased by his wife Yvonne in 2006. He is survived by his children, Sharon Mandracchia, David (Vickie) Simpson Jr., Cindy (Skip) Carpenter, all of Holley; grandchildren, Amy (Shawn) O’Mara of Holley, Sara Mandracchia of Holley, Jackie (Tony) Frankenberger of Irondequoit, Travis (Melissa) Carpenter of Virginia, Andrew Carpenter of Virginia, Erica (Zack Kane) Simpson of Rochester, Sadie (Dan) Strassner of Massachusetts, Kelsie Simpson of Holley; great-grandchildren, Ryan and Ryley O’Mara, Katy and Emma Frankenberger; brothers, Robert Simpson, Tony D’Lallo; sisters-in-law, Jean D’Lallo, Margaret Moriarty; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, John (Sue) Defendorf, Donald (Grace) Defendorf; several nieces, nephews; special friends, Lamont McMillian, Viola Williams. David was a life member of the Hose Co. of the Holley Fire Department and also a Fire Policeman. He was a former employee of IUOE Local 832 in Rochester.

•Brown, Vanessa J., Age 60, May 3, 2013. Predeceased by parents Kenneth and Gwyneth (Clancy) Brown; brother, Stephen Brown. •Neder, John A., On June 20, 2013. Predeceased by his sister, Marie Briggs. Survived by his loving wife of 57 years Beverly; daughters, Kathleen A. Neder (Greene), Bonnie (Randy) Kaufman; brother Robert G. (Jane) Neder; nieces Kimberly (Jeff) Neder-Carey, Nicole (Scott) Neder; great-niece Charlee Carey; great-nephew Macaulee Carey and cousins. John retired from Eastman Kodak Company in 1991.
A Funeral Mass was said June 24 at St. Christopher’s Church, North Chili. Interment at the family’s convenience.

•Daviton, David John, age 84, died peacefully in Rochester May 24, 2013. Survived by wife of almost 61 years, Jeanette; four children, Colleen (Catherine Burland), David Mark (Laura), Michael (Celeste) and Candi (Gene Rankin); sister, Linda McKay (Don); six grandchildren, Davina Reynolds (Josh), Jenamarie Bacot (Mitchell), Leah Manning (Aaron), Michaelia McClure (Aaron), Lorina and Daniel; eight great-grandchildren, AJ, Jordan, Jaden, Alex, Abishai, Micah, Hezekiah and Allen; his dog Ivana and close family friends, Elissa Olsen and Beth Corker. Predeceased by sister, Jone and granddaughter, Sarah.
He and his father, Jess, had a family-owned dry cleaners, Fabulous Daviton’s in San Francisco, California for more than four decades.
SPENCERPORT
•Maurinus, Robert L., June 21, 2013, at age 89. He is predeceased by his parents, Howard and Olive; and a sister, Betty Tate. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, June; sons, Robert (Lori), Martin (Sandi) and Steven; grandchildren, Justin (Piery) and Lindsay (John) Burley; nieces and nephews.

•Quinn, Michael Joseph, June 23, 2013 surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle against cancer. Mike joined the Navy during the Vietnam War and served honorably aboard the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Intrepid as a computer operator. Mike continued his career in Information Technology in the Rochester area for the next 35 years. He served on the board of the Spencerport Credit Union for 13 years. Mike was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Muriel Quinn and his infant sister. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of 40 years, Linda; and his special cousins, Kathleen Randall, Tim Giesenhoff and Tricia (Wayne) Bleich; he also leaves his brothers and sisters-in-law, Stephen Dojka, Mary Martha (Steve) Evert, Fred (Cindy) Dojka, Anthony Dojka and John (Maria) Dojka; nieces, Marcy Cox and Elissa Dojka; a nephew, Ryan Dojka; and a grandniece and grandnephew, Stephanie and Seth Cox.
Mike’s Memorial Service was held June 29 at the Historic Holy Trinity, Niagara Falls, NY followed by burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lewiston, NY. Donations in his memory can be made to the Historic Holy Trinity Fund, 1419 Falls Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
