•Milford, John D., of Rochester, (formerly of Cuba, NY) died August 12, 2013 at age 66. Predeceased by his parents, Harry and Stella Milford; sister, Marcia Pride. John is survived by his children, Nicole Milford and Matthew (Courtney) Milford; granddaughter, Sophia; brother, James (Arlene) Milford; sister, Mary (John) Fortuna; many nieces and nephews.
His Funeral Mass was said August 17 at St. John the Evangelist Church, Spencerport. Interment in St. John’s Cemetery.

•Brennan, Joanne J., age 64, August 10, 2013. Survived by her husband, Patrick; her daughter Angela (Jeffrey) Savidge of North Chili; step-sons, Joseph (Mary Pat) Brennan of West Seneca, Patrick (Jennifer) Brennan of Spencerport, Joshua Brennan of Virginia, Ian Brennan and Sean Brennan, both of Lockport; three grandsons; one granddaughter; sisters, Theresa (Terry) McDowell of Saranac Lake, Cheryl (Chris) Kopp of Chateaugay, Phyllis Lobdell of Malone; brothers, Arnold (Trudy) Lobdell, James Lobdell; step-brothers, Alan Lobdell, all of Burke, New York; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were held August 16 at Christopher Mitchell Funeral Homes, Inc., Albion. Contributions can be made to the organization of one’s choice in her memory.
BERGEN
•Hastings, Henry C., age 91, of LeRoy, formerly of Bergen, died April 16, 2013 at United Memorial Medical Center. A member of the American Legion, Merrill-Sackett-White Post #575 in Bergen, he was a flag bearer during the annual Bergen parades. He was a member of the Bergen Library Book Club and Bergen Historical Society and served with the United States Air Force. His wife Katharine Vorkapich Hastings, died in 2005. Survivors include his step-children, Michael (Gail) Vorkapich of California and Karen Vorkapich of Pennsylvania; two grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his loving companion, Ann Rogger of Churchville and friend, Ray MacConnell.
Inurnment in the Columbarium at Elmwood Cemetery. Contributions can be made to the Bergen Historical Society, 15 South Lake Avenue, Bergen 14416 or to the Humane Society of one’s choice.
BROCKPORT
•Begnoche, Janet H., Suddenly on August 11, 2013, at age 51. Predeceased by her sister, Judy Hindman. She is survived by her husband, Louis Begnoche; father and stepmother, Ira and Kathy Hindman of Pennsylvania; mother, Esther Walling of England; sisters, Jane E. Hindman (Amalie Brewer) of NYC, Joanne (Mike Collins) Hindman of Brooktondale, NY, Julie (Paul) Werfelmann of California, Kelly (Joe) Barki of West Virginia, Tasha Hindman of Pennsylvania, Rosann Hindman of Pennsylvania; stepchildren, Amy (Cory) Erickson of Minnesota, Mat (Nicole) Begnoche of Minnesota; four step grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; her pets, Stewie and Ramona. Janet was an Army Veteran.
Funeral Services were held August 15 at the DiPonzio Funeral Home, Inc., Gates. Private interment. Donations can be made to the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport 14450 in her memory.
CHILI
•Conway, Sherman L. “Larry”, August 7, 2013 at age 81. Predeceased by his parents, Harold and Leafie; sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Paul Quinn; and sister-in-law, Patricia Conway. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Sally (Werth); children, Christopher (Sue), Craig (Lisa), Cathy (Reginald Jr.) Allen, Curt (Kelly) of California; grandchildren, Sara (Michale) Dambra, Marisa (Ryan) Healey, Caitlyn, Brian, Brittany Lotta, Kevin, Nicole Lotta; seven great-grandchildren; brother, Edward; sister, Elizabeth (John) Kiefer; and many nieces and nephews. He served his country with the Marine Corps in the Korean War. He was retired from RG&E after 40 years of service.

•Scally, Mary E., August 13, 2013 at age 85. Mary is survived by her sons, David (Sharon) Scally, Jerry Scally, Kevin Scally and James Scally; grandchildren, April Scally, Mark Scally, Michael Scally, Shannon Scally and Paul Lloyd. She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald Scally. Mary retired from Mary Cariola Children’s Center.

•Mallette, Barbara A., August 9, 2013 at age 80. Predeceased by her beloved husband, John J. Mallette; son, Raymond F. Hinchey; and grandson, Ronald E. Hinchey. Barbara is survived by her children, Ronald (Kim) Hinchey, Anne (Jonathan) Gorton, Douglas (Paula) Hinchey, Susan (Patric) O’Brien, Barbara (Harold) Polle, Linda (Don) Onderdonk; step-children, Patricia (Thomas) Reisch, Barbara Mallette (Douglas Lloyd), Beverly (Richard) Shaw, Christine (Robert) Hewitt; 22 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, David (Caroline) Bierbrauer; sisters, Dorothy (Melvin) Borgus, Patricia (David) Scholl; and many loving relatives and dear friends.

•Hackshaw, Robert William, August 8, 2013 at age 73. He is predeceased by his parents, Edward and Blanche; brothers, Ray and Lenny; and best frient “Buffy”. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol; his children, David, Donna (Scott) Hopkins; grandchildren, U.S.M.C. Lance Corporal Jeff and Cody; several nieces and nephews. Bob honorably served in the U.S. Navy aboard The U.S.S. Warrington and The U.S.S. Beatty from 1959-1964. During his 35 years with Kodak, Bob was also a life member of the Greece Volunteer Ambulance as a Medic and E.M.T. 3 for 16 years.

•Baker O’Dell, Jayne W. “Wendy”, On August 8, 2013 at age 62. Predeceased by her parents Paul and Janet Baker, brother Steven. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Edward; daughter Colleen (Byran); siblings Betty Baker, Lynn (Melvin) Fulks, Eric (Esther) Baker; nieces and nephews. Wendy graduated from North Syracuse High School and attended SUNY Brockport.

•Reamer, Alyce Lillian (Spychalski), of Rogers, Arkansas, formerly of Kendall, age 86, died August 8, 2013. She was a charter member of the Kendall Fire Department Ladies’ Auxiliary for 58 years. She was a member of the Kendall United Methodist Church. Alyce was also devoted to the Kendall Central School District and a proud supporter of the Kendall Community. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Gerald (Jerry) Reamer of Rogers, Arkansas; sons, Steve (Jane) Reamer of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; Mike (MaryEllen) Reamer of Pea Ridge, Arkansas; Jeff (Barbara) Reamer of Rogers, Arkansas; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; bother, Kenneth (Mary Anne) Spychalski; sisters, Joann (Roger) Herman and Diane (Peter) Pellegrino; sisters-in-law, Nancy Spychalski and Helena Spychalski; several nieces, nephews and cousins.She was predeceased by her sister, Dorothy Spychalski; brothers, Robert and Richard Spychalski; and mother and father Lillian and Jack Spychalski.
