•Lindsay, Mary Jean Thoresen, age 81, November 6, 2013 at Carolinas Medical Center in Pineville, North Carolina. Mrs. Lindsay was born February 16, 1932, daughter of the late Albert and Mable Winters Cario, of Hamlin. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Carl Thoresen in 1997. Survivors include her second husband, Robert (Bob) Lindsay of Monroe; two daughters, Kristen Hoyle and husband Tim of Raleigh, North Carolina, Ellen Thoresen of Albany, New York; one son, Steve Thoresen and wife Libby of San Diego, California; granddaughter, Katherine Hoyle of Raleigh, North Carolina, brother, Donald Cario and wife Marie of Cartersville, Georgia; sister, Gloria Stennat and husband Art of Akron, Ohio.
A Service to Celebrate the Life of Mary Jean was held November 11 at Messiah Lutheran Church, Charlotte, North Carolina. Interment, Lakeland Memorial Park.
