•Vandewater, Gerald C., January 7, 2014 at age 89. Predeceased by his brother, Ronald. Survived by his loving wife, Mary Ann (Mawn); children, James (Teresa), Gerald Jr. (Maureen), Joanne (Ken) Fiske, Jeanne (Mark) Leuthauser and Joyce (John) McGrath; grandchildren, Eric (Ellie), Christopher, Molly (Jon), Gerald III, Nick, Katie, Tim, Kiera and Brenna; great-grandchildren, Emma, Grace, Matthew, Haley, Mattie and Charlie; sister, Wilma McKeehan; sister-in-law, Betty Vandewater; numerous nieces and nephews. He served in WWII in the Army-Air Force; retired from Rochester Gas & Electric after 40 years of service.
His Funeral Mass was said January 10 at St. Monica’s Church, Rochester. Entombment, Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choice in his memory.
