•Knapp, Eleanor Minnie (Nelson), age 93, died January 24, 2014, at the NHC Place in Franklin, Tennessee. On April 4, 1942 she wed Brockport High School classmate, Charles Webster Knapp. Together they spent the next 61 years raising a family and enjoying life. Eleanor spent over 20 years as a Dietitian with the Brockport Central School system, retiring in 1975. The next year she and Chuck moved to Sun City Center, Florida where he died in 1994. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck; parents, Guy and Bertha Nelson; sister, Clara Louise (Antony) Saunders, and daughter, Sharon Lee (Jerry) Nesbitt. She is survived by her son, Charles Nelson (Glenna) Knapp, of Prattville, Alabama; four grandchildren, Kim Nesbitt, of Brockport, Kelly (David) Lature of Franklin, Tennessee, Jami (Tim) Stofka, of Brentwood, Tennessee and Charles (Julie) Knapp, of Wetumka, Alabama; seven great grandchildren; her lifelong friend and first cousin Jean (Wayne) Moore; several nieces and nephews; many lifelong friends.
A Memorial Service will be announced and held at a later date.
