•Knapp Jr., John Peter “Jack,” died at age 72 on March 5, 2014. Predeceased by his father, John Peter Knapp, Sr. and survived by his mother, Isabelle. Leaves behind his wife of 51 years, Carol; son Kurt (Sherry); daughters Leigh Ann (Tim) Lester, Jill (Chris) Dunne, and Corry (Jim) Spampinato; grandchildren Cody and Kyle Knapp, Chad and Josh Lester, Devon Dunne, and Samantha and Ethan Spampinato; brothers Doug (Joyce) of Wisconsin, Gary, and C. David (Wendy); brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; many nieces; nephews; cousins; extended family; neighbors and friends. Jack was past chief of Riverdale Fire Department and leaves many cherished friends after volunteering 37 years with the Chili Fire Department; and many memories from the Chili Senior Center.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated March 10 at St Mary’s of the Assumption Church, Scottsville. Interment private. Donations can be made to Chili Fire Department, 3231 Chili Avenue, Rochester 14624 or Lifetime Care, 3111 Winton Road South, Rochester 14623 in his memory.
