•Bubb, Carl L. Sr., of Hector, NY died March 6, 2014 at age 93. He is predeceased by his parents, Norman and Florence Bubb and brothers, LaVerne, Earl and Gerold. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Marie (Fadel) Bubb; three children, a son Carl L. Bubb, Jr. of Hector, daughters Beverly (Charles) Goulding of New Hope, Pennsylvania and Janet (Peter) Smith of Hector. His surviving siblings are Roy Bubb, Clayton Bubb, Lois Petote, Dolores (Ray) Coates; sister-in-law Mary Ann Bubb. He leaves seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren plus many nieces and nephews.
He was a World War II Vet and served in the Philippines with the 574th Signal Air Warning Battalion. He worked as a salesman for the U.S. Steel Corp.
A Memorial Service and celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, April 19 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Route 414, Hector, NY. Donations can be made to the Memorial Education Fund at First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 96, Hector, New York in his memory.
