•Worden, Ward S., April 11, 2014, at age 93. Predeceased by his wife, Joyce. Survived by his children, Martha “Marty” (Richard) Palmieri, John C. (Sharon) Worden, Julia E. (Michael) Leonardo, Lydia S. (Thomas) Chimera and Peter W. (Adriana) Worden; his grandchildren, John (Amy) Hughes, Timothy (Darcie) Hughes, Elizabeth (Art) Neri, Brigette (Martin) Maschke, Angel (Laura) Seabry, Nathan (Sally) Burnett, Darryl (Haley) Nunes and Matthew Worden; and eight great grandchildren. During WWII he served in the Army Air Corps in the Pacific. He studied and taught literature at the U of R, Ohio State, John’s Hopkins and the U of Illinois before taking a position at Bausch & Lomb. He retired as manager of the Advertising Department in 1984.
His Funeral Service was held April 19 at the Leo M. Bean and Sons Funeral Home, Chili. Private Interment. Donations can be made to the Wilmot Cancer Center or Ogden Library in his memory.
